There is no actual alarm mechanism. The sound that you hear is actually Lighting Bolts of light hitting the hand-blown glass chamber, creating the alarm sound that is heard. Your room becomes a show place for the dancing lightning effects that fill the room and help the waking process. Use the Demo Mode and watch & listen to sound of light every 15 minutes (for 10 seconds at a time).
