 eParty Interview with Kaila YuX
eParty Interview with Kaila YuIt is a Tuesday afternoon on Fourth of July, and Kaila Yu is expected to come to the eParty Unlimited Headquarters. At 1:15pm she shows up with online marketing executive Phil Yeh, who handles publicity for her. She is dressed in a very casual pink tank top and dark blue jeans. The Team greets her and we all hang out and talk…

eParty: Why don't you tell us a little more about yourself?

Kaila: I've been modeling for about a year. I've also been trying to get into singing and acting. I'm also going to UCLA in the fall.

eParty: You will be doing a film?

Kaila: It's an independent film about a rave. We're filming sometime in September. They will be filming at a real rave. It is open to the public. It's going to be in LA. I just always wanted to do something in entertainment. Modeling is easier to break into than acting. You have to start working at tiny things, with extra work, workshops where you have to perform for casting agents.

eParty: What do you have a passion for?

Kaila: Singing is my real passion. Acting is a secondary passion. Modeling is something I fell into.

eParty: You're born in Taiwan?

Kaila: I was born in Taiwan. I moved here when I was 3.

eParty: Are you still fluent in Mandarin?

Kaila: My mandarin is not so good. But it is decent.

eParty: I think it's great that you're going to school, it's a great inspiration. What advice to do you have for everyone?

Kaila: I think it is still very important to graduate. You have to have your education

I think perseverance and persistence is the key to everything. If there is something you really want to do, and you work hard enough I think you can definitely get there.

eParty: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Kaila: I hope to have a record out, and to be acting full-time.

eParty: Do you have any products like posters?

Kaila: I'm going to start selling 8x10s in a month or 2.

eParty: Is there something unique about you besides acting and singing?

Kaila: I play the piano. I like movies a lot. I like to watch them for entertainment. My favorite thing I ever did was when I was a kid and went on a cruise. So many people are held back just thinking they can't do it. If you never try you will never know...
