Circuelo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 20th, 1963. His artistic training began in high school where he studied advertising design and illustration.

He then worked for an advertising agency until the age of 21, later becoming a freelance illustrator.

Since then, he has worked for several prestigious publishers and, with his free book, Ciruelo, he has become one of the most famous fantasy artists.
